Sessions adds a panel to the workspace Explorer that lists your Paseo agents by what they need from you. Agents are split into four collapsible groups: Needs attention (a pending permission, an error, or a finished turn you haven't opened yet), In progress, Idle, and Recently archived, which starts collapsed. Each row shows the agent's title, why it is in that group or its model name, and how long ago it last changed. Clicking a row opens the agent's tab.

A switch at the top shows either the agents of the current workspace or those of every workspace on every host connected to the app, with each agent's project and, when there is more than one host, its host. Open the panel from the Command Center with "Open sessions panel". The interface follows the system language and is available in English and Spanish.

Clicking an archived agent unarchives it first and then opens its tab. Unarchiving reloads the agent's conversation without sending it any message. While it runs the row says "Restoring", and if it fails the reason appears below the row.

How unarchiving works

The plugin API can't unarchive agents yet, so the plugin's server part uses the Paseo CLI that ships with the daemon, either the npm package or the copy bundled in the desktop app. It loads the CLI's connection module once to talk to the local daemon. If that fails, it runs paseo agent reload with the agent's ID as a subprocess. It runs nothing else and never downloads or installs software. No setup is needed.

Data access

The panel reads the agent list (titles, status, model, project, workspace and timestamps) and the providers' model names through the app's existing connection to each host. The server part connects only to the daemon on the same machine. To do so it reads the daemon's address, its local credential and the CLI's client ID from the Paseo home directory, creating the client ID file if it doesn't exist, exactly as the Paseo CLI does. The plugin sends nothing to any other service and stores no data of its own. The only change it makes is unarchiving an agent when you click it.

Limitations

  • It lists up to 200 agents per host, the most recent ones.
  • Paseo doesn't tell plugins which tab is focused, so the highlighted row is the last one opened from the panel.
  • Unarchiving is done by the daemon where the plugin is installed, so it may fail for an archived agent on another host.
  • If the Paseo CLI can't be found, unarchiving fails with "Paseo CLI not found" and the rest of the panel keeps working.
  • The fast path relies on the CLI's internal connection module. If a Paseo update changes it, the plugin falls back to paseo agent reload, which takes about 2 seconds instead of about 150 ms.
